What is an IGES file?
An IGES file is an older exchange format for 3D CAD surfaces and curves. It uses the .iges or .igs extension, and both are the same format.
The viewer turns those surfaces into a fine triangle mesh so the browser can draw them. Shapes look right; exact dimensions stay in your CAD system.
