What is the DWG file format?
DWG is AutoCAD's own binary format. It stores 2D and 3D geometry, layers, blocks, annotations and drawing data. Architects, engineers and builders use it for working drawings.
Autodesk does not publish the full DWG specification, so browsers cannot read it directly. Voltplot converts the file on a server and shows the result in your browser. To skip the upload, export DXF and use the DXF viewer.
