Accelerating the energy storage buildout
The world needs 1,500 GW of energy storage by 2030. The bottleneck isn't the technology — it's the planning process that precedes it.
The gap between ambition and deployment
Globally, the IEA and COP29 demand a sixfold increase in storage capacity by 2030. In Austria alone, over 12 GW of grid connection applications for battery storage have been filed, with less than 200 MW realised. Technology and financing are in place. The development process still hasn't kept pace.
Site assessment, constraint analysis, layout planning, noise modelling, grid connection: each step requires its own tools and data sources. The result is months of pre-development before it's even clear whether a site works.
Voltplot combines industry knowledge with proprietary analysis software to compress this process. So viable sites are identified faster and unviable ones are ruled out earlier.
